Life can be challenging at times. Losses, transitions, and trauma all bring a dynamic into our lives that often create a “stuck spot” for us. Finding a safe place to process these challenges and figuring out options for the next steps are short term goals for the counseling process.
Jim Klock, LCSW has been providing counseling services in Fort Collins since 1985. He works with people on short term basis, as well as long term process. He provides individual and couples counseling with an emphasis on marriage counseling. Jim is a well respected counselor in the Northern Colorado community.
In addition to his counseling services, Jim provides clinical supervision for aspiring LCSW's.
He incorporates his Christian beliefs into his work with others and is very respectful of others’ Faith walks. Jim works with people who also wrestle with addiction issues such as gambling, sex, shopping, spending, and/or substance addiction.
Jim is an approved provider of mental health services and is on provider panels of several national insurance companies. For those with no insurance benefits he offers a sliding fee scale.
Educational background: BS degree in psychology from Evangel University, 1975. Masters degree in counseling from University of Denver, 1977. Masters degree in clinical social work, University of Kansas, 1981.

Build a trusting relationship to assist resolution of presenting problem, and work towards a sustainable process of healthy conflict resolution and increased intimacy.
Undergo an assessment of the presenting problem initially and then form a counseling goal to achieve said goal.
Providing a safe forum for each family member's needs/concerns to be heard and addressed. Using a systemic approach, the family counseling looks at the best interests for the family.
